The FFXIV Screenshots program is where you can take in-game screens shots and save them to your computer. To access this, press the “Esc” key on your keyboard and select screenshot from that menu. It’s important to note which folder these files will be saved into so they are easy for you to find later!
First, open up your FFXIV folder
The screenshots are saved in the Screenshots folder
Open up that folder and you’ll find all of your screenshots there!
You can also change where they save to by going into the Settings menu and selecting “Save Location” from the right-hand side of the window
This will allow you to choose a different location for saving your screenshots if you want something other than this default option
It’s best not to keep them on your desktop because it could make things cluttered or hard to find, depending on how many games or programs you have installed on your computer
It’s also important to note where these pictures will be saved so you can easily find them later!
In the screenshots folder, they are organized according to date taken and game played. They are in chronological order from newest to oldest (starting with FFXIV)
If it turns out that this is not what you want or need, then select “Save Location” again and choose a different location for storing your files. You have complete control of where things save when using this option!
The default folder for screenshots in FFXIV is the My Pictures folder. This can be changed to a different location if desired, but it cannot be done through the game settings menu. To change your screenshot save location, you will need to find and open up the Windows control panel. Once there, navigate to Users > (your username) > AppData > Roaming > Square Enix> FINAL FANTASY XIV – A Realm Reborn> Screenshots
Before the release of FFXIV on September 20, 2010, screenshots were saved to your Desktop. Now they are saved in a folder called “Screenshots” that is created by default under the “My Documents” folder. This change was made due to players being unable to save their screenshots before the game’s release and not having access to them after logging out of the game.
The screenshots folder is located on the hard drive where Windows is installed.
