I can’t believe it’s been 3 years since the last season of Top Chef. It feels like yesterday that I was glued to my TV after school watching Padma Lakshmi hand out the prizes, Tom Colicchio judging and Gail Simmons prepping food. The most recent season just wrapped up on April 4th with two new winners: Kristen Kish for her incredible cooking skills and creativity, and Shirley Chung who won for being a very strong competitor in every round. I’m eagerly awaiting Season 12!

Top Chef is an Emmy Award winning reality show that bears similarities to Iron Chef but has some key differences as well. Each episode starts out with the host handing out prizes to the winner of the previous contest then Tom Colicchio comes over to judge the next challenge alongside Gail Simmons who preps food. The first time contestants are eliminated from Top Chef they receive their own elimination line like “you’re leaving too soon”.

I’ve been watching Top Chef for the past few weeks and it’s really addicting. I like to watch the challenges on my phone just before bed so that I can sleep better. The chefs are always cooking up something new and the food is delicious! My favorite season was Season 3, because there were a lot of twists in the show and they made some really great dishes too!
I have always been a fan of the show Top Chef. I love seeing all the different cooking styles and techniques that are showcased in each episode. It’s always fun to see what other chefs think about this dish or that technique, so I’m looking forward to reading your blog post on it!

The third season of the popular reality TV show Top Chef was a great one! The chefs had to cook in three different countries Italy, Singapore, and Vietnam. There were also some delicious desserts this season. Our favorite part was when they brought back the “Mystery Box Challenge”. This challenge requires that all contestants must find ingredients from a box without knowing what is inside until after cooking has started. It’s always so exciting to watch them figure out how everything goes together and make it into something new!
If you are a fan of the show, you will remember that in season 3 there was a contestant who had to leave because she was diagnosed with cancer. I have been thinking about her and what has happened since then. It is so easy to just say “I’m sorry” when someone says they’re sick but it’s not enough. Could we do more? So many people feel helpless when their friends or family members get diagnosed with cancer and this blog post is my way of doing something about it! Let me tell you all about how we can help spread awareness for breast cancer!
