Tier one: Goku
This goku tier list is organized in order of the best family members to worst. This goku member should be recruited by anyone looking for a good tank or damage dealer as their leader.
Tier two: Raditz, Bardock, Gotenks (no evo)
These gokus are great lead characters if you need someone with high survivability and can dish out some decent DPS when needed but aren’t quite up to par with Gokus level yet. These gokus make excellent team leaders/secondaries because they have low cooldowns so will always be ready to fill any role that your team needs at the moment. They also have fairly powerful ultimates which makes them very formidable foes when used correctly.
Tier three: Gogeta Fully Powered, Raditz (Evo’d)
These gokus are usually leaders because of their high survivability and damage output but lack the skills that make them as strong as Goku tier gokus. The fully powered gogeta can be a great leader if you’re lacking in speed/mobility since he has an ultimate which makes him invincible for its duration while dealing decent DPS to all enemies on screen until it finishes so they should always have time to get away from danger with this ulti up unlike other tanks who need to wait for cooldowns before running away. Raditz is much better than his lower-tier counterparts when evolved due either through missions or by completing daily events such as the wheel of fate or a special boss event such as red roshi.
This goku is usually used as a DPS so he can make up for his lack of survivability and tanking skills with high damage output. His ultimate also deals more damage than most other tanks even if they have an evolved form which makes it easier to save teammates from danger when you’re not worrying about your own health bar since this goku has little-to-no defensive skills in comparison to tier one gokus like vegeta and piccolo who are both better at staying alive on their own without relying on team members while being able to deal comparable amounts of DPS(damage per second).
This goku can also be used as a tank but he’s not nearly as good at it when compared to vegeta or piccolo. This is due to the fact that his ultimate doesn’t deal any damage and because of this, it makes sense for him to build the skill “defenselessness” which increases defense while lowering attack power.
In comparison with tier one tanks like vegeta and piccolo who both have an evolved form where their ultimates do more damage than those in tier two, it makes sense for them not to rely on team members so much since they’re able to handle themselves better even if there are multiple enemies attacking them. They also don’t need skills such as defenselessness since their ultimate deals damage.
This goku is only really good as a tank when there are enemies who can deal status effects that make you lose your defense and he’s also not quite as useful in multiplayer since it takes more than one teammate to take down an enemy, but this goku has great potential for solo play because of the skill defenselessness which will allow him to tank through all types of attacks while doing his best to keep attacking the main boss until they’re dead or close enough where another player can add their finishing blow
Tier three tanks like this goku do have some benefits such as being able to survive supersonic waves from bosses if built up properly with appropriate skills, so even though tier two tanks are better overall .
